How to Set Up HTTPS for Joomla
NOTE: You need to purchase & install SSL certificate first before you can proceed with this tutorial
Login to your Joomla Administrator dashboard and click on System → Global Configuration

Click on Server tab and scroll down to Server Settings section.

Click on the drop down box on Force HTTPS and see the available HTTPS option.
Administrator Only - this will secure only the backend of your website. This means that only administrator pages will be loaded using https, the frontend will work via http.
Entire Site - this will secure the entire website and make all pages work via https. This is the recommended option.
Once you have selected your ideal HTTPS option, click on Save & Close button to save changes.
