How to Reset Email Account Password in cPanel

  1. Login to your Control Panel (cPanel) account with your username and password at http://yourdomain.com/cpanel



Note: Replace yourdomain.com with your real domain. For example , http://serverfreak.com/cpanel



  1. Go to Email section and click "Email Accounts".




  1. Select the email account your wish to modify password and click on "Manage"



  1. You may proceed to assign the new password or you can generate a random password on the blank column and click on "Update Email Settings" button to complete the process.






  1. Your email account password has been changed. Do try to access it via webmail http://yourdomain.com/webmail or http://webmail.yourdomain.com



Please note to use a Strong passwords. Strong passwords should be long (at least 12 characters, but 16 or more is better), include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols, and be unique to each account. Avoid using personal information, common words, or sequential characters. Consider using a password manager or a password generator to create and store strong, unique passwords.
