How to Create FTP Accounts in Cpanel

If you hire a web designer to develop your website, the best practise is to provide the FTP access in order for them to upload the web files to your hosting. You may also specificed the directory so they do not have access to the whole hosting account


1- Login to your Cpanel account and go to Files and click FTP Accounts




2- Fill up all the information . If you have multiple domain, please choose the domain from drop down menu under Domain
Kindly ensure the Directory is correct as the FTP account created will allow the user to access to specific Directory only.
Then click Create FTP Account





3- Now you may provide the FTP Access to your web designer as per below :

Note : Replace the information with the correct details

FTP Username: username@domain.com
FTP Password : FTP Password
FTP server: ftp.domain.com
FTP & explicit FTPS port: 21
