How to Use Updraft Plus to Restore Your WordPress Backups

In our previous tutorial on how to generate WordPress backup using Updraft Plus, we shall explore how we can use the same plugin to restore our backup file and databases.

Inside your dashboard, click on Settings > UpdraftPlus Backups.

Once you're at UpDraft Plus page, you need to scroll down to Existing Backups. Here you can view previously generated backups.

To restore a backup, click on the Restore button. Alternatively, you can also manually upload files by clicking the** Upload backup files** link (if you already have the backup file downloaded into your PC).

Next, you will be asked to select which components you would like to restore. These consist of…
Plugins
Themes
Uploads
Others
Database

The components you choose will depend on your restore needs. But if you want to restore your entire site, you will need to select all five options. Click on the Restore button.

Once you pressed on the Restore button, you shall see several messages inside the pop-ups. You will need to follow the instructions in the popups. This isn’t difficult and simply involves clicking on the Restore button a few more times when it is presented.

When completed, a message will display telling you the restoration work has been successful.
