Converting a Wordpress Site to HTTPS with Really Simple SSL Plugin
You can easily convert your Wordpress website to HTTPS in order to make use of the installed SSL, if you have installed paid/free SSL for your domain.
Login to Wordpress admin dashboard. Wordpress admin URL will be in the following format by default: http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin
(yourdomain.com is to be replaced with your actual domain name)
Click on Plugins then Add New
Search for Really Simple SSL in the plugin search box and click on Install Now
Click Activate to activate the newly installed Really Simple SSL plugin
Lastly, click on Activate SSL from the dashboard which will appear right after the plugin is being activated
Done! Your site should now be appear with Secure status or with a green padlock on a browser address bar (depending on the browser in use) indicating HTTPS/SSL is in use for your website
