# Send Email from Another Address Using Gmail (Alias)

|| NOTE: The following tutorial is using SSL Settings Using Port 465

1. First, log into your existing gmail account. Then, click on the gear image on the top right hand corner and click on **Settings**.

2. Click on the **Accounts and Import** tab and click on **Send Mail As**

3.  Enter Your **Name** and check the box on **Treat as an Alias** . Then, **Next Step**.

4. Enter Your SMTP Server (Use **Host Name** e.g. _unicorn.sfdns.net_ ) and select **Port 465** as shown below.

**Username:** Your domain-based email address

**Password:** Your domain-based email password

Tick the box for **Secured Connection Using SSL ( recommended ) **before clicking on **Add Account** .

5.  You shall see the **Confirm Verification** message. Remember to enter your **Confirmation Code** here.

6. Return to **Gmail** and click on the **gear icon** on the top right hand corner and click on **Settings**.

7.  Click on **Accounts and Import** tab and click on **Make Default** in order to make your new email address as the sending email (alias).

8. From inside **Gmail**, try to compose a new email using your latest alias email address. Below is a successful email received from the new alias email address.
