# How to Install SMF from Softaculous

1) Login to cPanel and click on **Softaculous App Install**

2) On the left menu of **Forums** section, click on SMF.




3) You will be taken to the Overview page where you can view more information about this particular software.

4) Click the **Install** tab. 

If you have multiple domains associated with this account, you can select where to install it.

The next two boxes require a directory and database name, neither of which should exist on the server.

Under Settings, enter a **Site Name** and **Board Email**. These can be changed later on from the application's admin panel.

5) Click Install. After a moment, the software will be installed.




6) Once finished, you can see the message **Congratulations! the software was installed successfully!**




Here is our new forum which is ready to be used.
