# How to Edit Your Store Title and Meta Description

Having a proper meta title and description for your site is also an important SEO factor other than having an [SEFs enabled URL](https://help.serverfreak.com/en/article/how-enable-search-engine-friendly-sef-urls-in-magento-1nwnsgz/). 

Right after you install your Magento application, the store will have some sample content for title and description. 

1. Login to your Magento administrator dashboard and click on **Content** menu on the left sidebar. Click on **Configuration** under the **Design** section.

2. Click on the **Edit** button next to your theme to open up the available options.

3. Then scroll down and expand the **HTML Head** options.


4. Enter the Meta Title and Description for your Magento website store.

Press the **Save Configuration** button at the top right corner in order to save your changes.
