# How to Disable Cache Plugin in Joomla

In this tutorial, we shall disable the same plugin (System - Page Cache) which we have used before in the previous [flush cache plugin](https://help.serverfreak.com/en/article/how-to-flush-joomla-cache-plugin-1chesbc/) tutorial.

Here's how to disable the same plugin:

1. Login to your Joomla Administrator and click on **Extensions → Plugins**

2. Type " **cache** " in the search box and look for " **System - Page Cache** ". Click once on the ticked box symbol in order to disable the plugin.

You shall see the message "Plugin disabled".


3.  Now head over to **Systems → Global Configuration**.

4. Click on the System tab and scroll down to look for "System Cache".

Select **OFF - Caching disabled** and press the **Save & Close** button at the top left corner.

Congratulations! You have now disabled the **System - Page Cache** plugin successfully!
