How to Check Your Email in Gmail (SSL Settings)

First, log into your existing gmail account. Then, click on the gear image on the top right hand corner and click on Settings.



Click on the Accounts and Import tab and click on Add a mail account.






A small window will appear . Then, enter your email address which email you wish to import from. Click Next button.





LATEST NOTE / UPDATE: Click on Import emails from my other account (POP3) before clicking on the Next button as shown below




Enter the settings for your email account .

Email Address: Your domain-based email address

Username: Your domain-based email address

Password: Your domain-based email password

POP server: Your mail server or Host Name (Example: unicorn.sfdns.net)

Port: 995

Tick Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server so that you may still read the messages through other devices . Tick Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.





Click Add Account.







Click on Yes. Then, Next Step.


Note that if you wish to send mail, you will send through your primary gmail account and the receiver will receive the mail from your primary gmail account.



Enter Your Name and check the box on Treat as an Alias . Then, Next Step.








Enter Your SMTP Server (Use Host Name e.g. unicorn.sfdns.net ) and select Port 465 as shown below.

Username: Your domain-based email address

Password: Your domain-based email password

Tick the box for Secured Connection Using SSL ( recommended ) before clicking on Add Account .




You shall see the Confirm Verification message. Remember to enter your Confirmation Code here.
